This page provides information about the Remodeling and Flooring Conditions of apartments.
Remodeling will be described in one of two ways.
(1) Some Remodeling - This usually means that at least the bathroom or the kitchen has refurbished within the last 10 years. Sometimes both may have been remodeled. The actual amount of refurbishment varies greatly from apartment to apartment and we are not able to give more information about the amount of remodeling. Some apartments have been totally remodeled. Others have been remodeled to a lesser degree. If an apartment is listed as having some remodeling, this means that we believe enough remodeling is present to warrant the slightly larger rental rate when compared to a Minimally Remodeled apartment (as described below) in the same village and having the same number of bedrooms.
(2) Minimal Remodeling - This usually means that the apartment has not had any major refurbishment work done in the last 10 years. However, it is important to note that anytime a resident moves out of an apartment, the apartment is evaluated to see what refurbishment is needed. Almost every apartment goes through *** some level *** of minor refurbishment. Minor refurbishment can include carpet replacement, tile floor replacement, appliance replacement, painting, etc. All apartments are cleaned by our own professional cleaning crew *** every time *** a resident moves out.
The flooring in an apartment will usually be described in one of two ways.
(1) Carpet - This means that most of the apartment has carpet. Some small sections of the apartment may have tile. Tile usually refers to a type of tile similar to (but more durable than) linoleum. Except in Diamond Village ... all upstairs apartments will always have carpet.
(2) Tile - This usually means that most of the apartment has tile. Tile usually refers to a type of tile similar to (but more durable than) linoleum. Tile is standard flooring in all Diamond Village apartments. In other villages, it will only be found in downstairs apartments. Eventually, ALL downstairs apartments in all villages will have tile.
