Applicants are given the address to their apartment at the time of their offer. We ask that all applicants do not visit their apartment in advance of their move in date out of respect to current residents. Visiting an apartment in advance of moving in could have negative impacts including the possibility of having their offer rescinded.
What role does my application date play in the GFH apartment selection process?
Simply put, a very small role. The only time an application date is used is when two people request the same apartment.
What role does my applicant number play in the GFH apartment selection process?
The same role as the application date. This is just another indicator of application date.
Can I hold or reserve an apartment?
Applicants must select an apartment and begin paying from the date listed in their offer. We cannot hold an apartment without payment.
What information is available about individual apartments?
When individual apartment are listed on this site, we post the following information:
- Village
- Building Number
- Number of Bedrooms
- Rental Rate
- Level (upstairs or downstairs)
- Remodel Status
- Flooring (carpet or tile)
- Facing Direction
- Move In Date
What does the remodel status indicate?
There are two different classifications of apartments when it comes to remodeled status. Minimal Remodeling means that the apartment has been maintained but no significant overhaul has happened in quite some time. Some Remodeling means that either the bathroom, kitchen or entire apartment has been refurbished. In some instances, the entire apartment may have been renovated. However to keep the number of rental rates to a minimum each apartment is divided into one of these two categories.
What type of flooring is available?
Carpet and tile. If an apartment is listed as having carpet flooring, it means the majority of the apartment is carpet. The same is true for tile apartments. The tile used in our apartments is similar to linoleum.
